British Israelism is the belief that people of Western European descent are also the direct lineal descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, and it is often accompanied by the belief that the British Royal Family is directly descended from the line of King David.
This belief is common amongst a number of interrelated Australian micronations.
This tradition in Australian micronationalism was most active during the early to mid 1990s, but declined towards the end of the first decade of the 21st century after the gaoling of several key members for a variety of fraud and prudential offenses.
